Trees, old friends

With the arrival of spring, old branches flourish with budding shoots. The start of higher temperatures help small leaves timidly appear, covering our old friends the trees with a green blanket. This is a great time to discover the world of plants and understand their movements and tiny pulsations... it is a great time to rediscover the somewhat forgotten friendship of our old friends, the trees.

Sebes, reed beds for birds

Reed beds are one of the largest most typical habitats at Sebes Nature Reserve. In fact, there are more than 60 hectares of reeds, which represents one of the most interesting habitats for small birds. Eurasian reed warblers, great tits, common chiffchaffs, lesser whitethroats and all kinds of passerines use this area for breeding, feeding or resting during migration.

Voluntary ornithological work

Some years ago Jamie and Carol came here from England. Both of them had a good education, but were somewhat frustrated at not being able to find work in the environmental sector as they did not have enough work experience to get a job which would in turn give them the so important work experience they needed.
